Antrel Rolle Drives The Final Stake Into The Hearts Of Giants Fans

I think we can all agree, that the New York Giants had some seriously high expectations coming into this past season.  Given their scary good defensive line, “upgrades” in the secondary, vastly improved wide receiving core and oh ya that guy named Manning behind center, who can blame them. With all this talent, how could the team fail given all the unknowns in the NFC East?  Fast forward to present day and I think it’s safe to say the G-Men came up shorter than little Brett Favre in the 2010 season, get it?  Come on?  Nothing?  Good God you people are hopeless!

Anyhow, with Giants season over and fans licking their wounds, I can promise that free safety Antrel Rolle admitting that a lot of this year, “his head was wandering” won’t make the facts any easier to swallow.  For a man who signed a five-year, $37 million dollar deal this past off-season and only gave back one interception and four pass break-ups…ummm I’m not seeing what the market calls “fair value.”  If I’m Tom Coughlin and I don’t see a drastic rise in production next season, I’d gladly given Rolle the nice, comfy location on the corner of the street, that was once inhabited by Ted Williams (the new voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers), but then again who says Coughlin will be around then either if the Giants shoot another blank?
