Derranged Marbury Makes Pitch For Lebron

With the NBA free-agent market getting set to open up in a little more than 24 hours, it seems that everyone and their grandmothers are making their pitches to get Lebron James to their city and team.  I guess it’s no wonder that the Vaseline eating Stephon Marbury, is throwing his two cents into the circle of love and here is what he had to say:

“Stephon Marbury said he is rooting for LeBron James to sign with the Nets to resuscitate Newark and, eventually, his home borough, Brooklyn.  LJ 23 should go to the Nets so that Newark would be able to grow and build businesses for the people there.  Marbury wrote in an e-mail to The Post.  After he builds the economy in Newark he can come to my borough and create a brand new life for people struggling to make it in this tough economy.”

I’ve always found Marbury to be a complete and utter idiot, but I have to agree with him on this one.  Lebron James going to the New Jersey Nets would do wonders for rebuilding that trash hole they call Newark and later on Brooklyn.  It’s crazy, but athletes have a very unique ability to bring life to cities with little to no pulse.  You don’t have to look any further than what Lebron did for the city of Cleveland and the Cavaliers.  I wish New Jersey all the luck in the world on landing Prince James, but what’s the most realistic destination at this point?

This is a very well written article as well as a great blog you got going here! I think that the big problem that is going to face these top tier free agents is the ability to find a good supporting cast because teams have shed so much salary in order to get them. Also, you think you could check out my blog because I really want to know what your opinion is on my thoughts.
