Are the Pittsburgh Steelers Racist?

There seems to be a lot of speculation and chit-chat from NFL fans around the globe who think that the Pittsburgh Steelers front office and organization may be racist.  After all, they did just trade Santonio Holmes, the former Super Bowl MVP who is African-American to the New York Jets.  Yah, that just smells of bigotry (laughing).  Oops!  Sorry, did I forget to mention that Santonio has a track record of boo-boos a mile long?  The white marks (pun) include domestic violence, possession of marijuana and is currently facing a lawsuit after a Orlando woman claimed he threw a glass at her face in a nightclub.  Along with these high-profile incidents, one that may not stick out the most was the infamous Twitter statement where Santonio told a fan to “kill himself, “which he later denied and claimed his account was hacked.  Pathetic Santonio, pathetic.  Honestly, Holmes makes Adam “Pacman” Jones look like Mother Teresa.  Well maybe not, but this idea of racial bigotry spawns around the idea that no punishment will come from the second round of sexual assault allegations against the Steelers quarterback, Big Ben Roethlisberger.   That is really here – not there, but I have one thing to say to all of you who believe the Steelers are racist.  Are you fricking kidding me?  Have you ever heard of the Rooney Rule?  Yah, put in place by the Steelers owner Dan Rooney.  Google it and you’ll see exactly why the Steelers organization is anything but white supremacits running around with hoods on and carrying pitch forks!
