Revolutionizing Golf?

The high end market of luxury cars features names that may be familiar such as Rolls Royce, Porsche, Bentley, Mazarati and the Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit. Unfamiliar with one of those names? Well, the Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit isn’t actually a high end luxury car or car at all, but it is now officially the cream of the crop when it comes to golf carts.  This $52,000 modern marvel was released out of Finland’s Porsche factory today for the world to see and believe it or not, it’s already making headlines all over the golfing world.  Why?  That’s that the $64,000 dollar question or should I say the $52,000 dollar question.  This eco-friendly luxury house on wheels is equipped with all the amenities such as a carbon roof, hand-stitched leather upholstery, sleek design and even a refrigerator to cut back on those trips to the club house for your favorite beverage.

This baby looks like a real beauty, but who in the hell is going to spend 52 grand on a golf cart?  You would have to be real rich and a damn big golf enthusiast to fork out that kind of dough to roll around your country club in this type of style.  I would really hope that with this kind of price tag, it comes with a manufacturers guarantee to reduce your golf score by at least ten strokes.  This golf cart cost more than about 70% of actual cars that people buy on a regular basis.  It’s hard to even imagine Tiger Woods buying this car to duck and dodge all of his hoochie mamas, but hey it might not be a bad idea.  Either way, it will be pretty exciting to see who the first buyer will be of this unheralded machine. I however have two questions that I wouldn’t mind having answered.  First, what is the 0-60 speed on this bad boy or at least its top speed since after all it is produced by Porsche?  Secondly, is this not the most absurd thing you have ever heard?  Charging this kind of money just for a golf cart?  I thought we were in a recession.
